Beekeeping fills in USDA Farm Service Agency (FSA) forms, estimates ELAP payments, and tracks deadlines from the records you enter. It does its best to get them right. It cannot check them against your bees, your receipts, or what your county office expects, so the final check is yours.

Review every form before you sign or send it

You are the producer, and your signature certifies to FSA that what is on the form is true and correct. Before you sign, submit, or hand in any form the app produces, read every box and compare it with your own records: names and addresses, farm and tract numbers, state and county codes, dates, colony and hive counts, causes of loss, shares, and anything the app left blank for you to fill in.

If something is wrong or missing, correct the record in the app and print the form again, or correct the form by hand, before it goes to FSA.

No responsibility for the accuracy of forms

Because every form needs your review before it is used, Beekeeping and the person who operates it accept no liability for the accuracy or completeness of any form, figure, date, or code the app produces, or for anything that follows from filing it: a rejected, late, reduced, or denied claim, a repayment, a penalty, or a lost payment. A form filled in by the app is a draft until you have checked it.

Payment estimates are estimates

The ELAP payment figures follow FSA’s published method and rates as best the app can apply them to your records. They are for planning only. FSA and your county committee decide what is eligible, what your inventory and losses were, and what is paid, and they may adjust any number. Payment limits, income limits, shared ownership, reductions, and other programs’ payments are not worked into the estimate.

Deadlines and reminders

Due dates and reminders are calculated from the dates you enter and the rules as the app knows them. Rules, forms, rates, and deadlines change, and a county office can ask for things differently. Confirm deadlines and requirements with your FSA office; a missing reminder is not a reason a deadline was missed.

Not affiliated with USDA

Beekeeping is an independent record-keeping tool. It is not part of, endorsed by, or connected with USDA or the Farm Service Agency. The forms it fills are FSA’s own public blank forms. Nothing in the app is legal, tax, financial, or veterinary advice.

Mite levels, treatment and withdrawal dates, feed amounts, and each hive’s share of yard-wide work are calculated from what you log. Always follow the product label for treatments and withdrawal periods.
