Beekeeping is a record-keeping app for beekeeping operations. This policy explains what it collects, why, and what you can do about it. In short: it keeps what you need to sign in and the records you enter, it never sells or shares them for advertising, and you can get a copy or have them deleted.
When you sign in: your email address, and from Google or Microsoft your name and profile picture. They are used only to confirm who you are: Beekeeping cannot see your password, email, contacts, files, or anything else in those accounts. If you sign in with an emailed link, we send that one email and nothing else.
What you enter: your operation name and records such as yards, hives, queens, inspections, mite counts, treatments, feeding, harvests, tasks, receipts, and USDA FSA inventory and loss records.
Basic account activity: when you last signed in, and who invited you.
Only to run the app: to sign you in, to show your operation’s records to you and the people on your operation, and to calculate things like treatment withdrawal dates, FSA deadlines, and loss estimates. There is no advertising, no analytics or tracking scripts, and your data is not used to train AI models.
Each operation’s records are visible only to the people that operation’s admins have added. Other operations using Beekeeping cannot see them.
The person who operates Beekeeping can technically access the database to keep it running, fix problems, or respond to your requests, and does so only for those reasons.
Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with third parties, except the service providers that host the app (below), or if required by law.
The one exception is what you choose to post in Community or comment in the Knowledge base: everyone signed in to Beekeeping can see it, with your name and farm name. Your farm records never appear there. Posts and photos may be checked automatically by Anthropic’s Claude for explicit or abusive content before they appear, and anyone can report a post for review.
The app runs on Vercel and the database is hosted by Supabase, in the United States. Both encrypt data in transit, and these providers process it only to provide their hosting services.
Beekeeping sets only the cookies it needs to work: one that keeps you signed in (for up to 30 days), and short-lived ones used during sign-in and when accepting an invite link. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
Your records are kept while your operation uses the app. Email the address below for a full copy of them at any time.
To delete your account or your entire operation, email dysonju@gmail.com from the address you sign in with. It will be removed within 30 days. An operation admin can also remove people from their operation on the People page.
Beekeeping is meant for adults keeping bees and is not directed at children under 13.
If this policy changes, the date at the top will change, and significant changes will be noted in the app.
